How Tipons works

What Tipons is

Tipons is a front end for launching tokens through the pons v2 factory on Robinhood Chain. It adds one thing: the token's creator fees are routed to a TikTok handle instead of to the person who deployed it. The creator does not need to sign up, hold a wallet or even know about the token. They can claim later by signing in with TikTok.

Tipons deploys no contracts of its own. Tokens, curves, pools, liquidity locks and the fee escrow are all pons.

Fee routes

Every pons launch names one address as its creator fee recipient, and pons pays that address and nobody else. There is no split: all of the creator fee, and all of any creator tax the deployer sets, goes to the TikTok handle. The deployer earns nothing from it, and Tipons takes nothing.

  • If the creator has already signed in to Tipons, the recipient is their own wallet. Tipons is never in the path of those fees.
  • If nobody has signed in as that handle yet, the recipient is a custody wallet Tipons holds for the handle. Every token routed to the same handle shares it.
  • A token carries a link on-chain. Unless the deployer sets a website of their own, it is the TikTok profile the token pays, https://www.tiktok.com/@handle.
  • Tipons launches carry a salt that starts with TIPONS and an address ending in 719. The board only lists tokens whose fees go to a handle's wallet, so a lookalike that copies the mark does not appear.

Who holds the fees

This is the part to read before you deploy or claim.

  • Fees accrue on the pons curve or pool, then in the pons fee escrow (0xd3AFEB2a57f70eF218Aa82451c51B2fb0416Ac9e), credited to the recipient. pons only pays an escrow balance to the address it belongs to.
  • TikTok lets nobody sign in as an account but its owner, so a wallet cannot be made ahead of time that only they control. Until they sign in, someone has to hold the recipient role, and that is Tipons: the custody wallet is a server wallet held with Privy. It is owned by a separate authorization key, so Tipons's app credentials alone cannot move it.
  • Custody ends at the creator's first claim. Tipons withdraws what pons owes the custody wallet, pays it to the creator, and moves each token's recipient role on pons to the creator's own wallet. From then on the fees never touch Tipons, and only the creator can claim them.
  • The creator's own wallet is one Privy makes from their TikTok sign-in. Tipons cannot sign with it. They can export its key to any wallet app, or have a claim sent on to an address they already control.

Claiming

  • Nothing is released until a TikTok sign-in proves the handle, and it is only sent to the creator's own wallet or the address they type.
  • The first claim is carried out by Tipons from the custody wallet, and Tipons covers its gas, so a creator needs no ETH to start. When the claim is large enough, that gas is taken out of it instead.
  • Every later claim is a transaction the creator signs from their own wallet. Tipons leaves a little ETH in it for that.
  • Fees are in the asset the token is paired with: ETH, a stablecoin or a tokenized stock. A creator with several tokens may be owed several assets.
  • The per-token earned figures on the board and token pages are estimates from indexed trades. What can be claimed is read from pons directly.
  • After a token graduates to Uniswap v4, fees collected by the pons hook reach the escrow when pons sweeps the pool.

Handles and renames

A TikTok handle can be renamed, and an abandoned one can be taken by someone else. So at deploy Tipons reads the handle's public TikTok profile and records the account's numeric user ID, which never changes. Only that account can ever verify the handle.

  • When a creator signs in with TikTok, Tipons looks up which account their current name belongs to and compares it with the ID on file.
  • A creator who renamed since the deploy still claims, under the new name. Whoever picks up the old name cannot.
  • After the first claim none of this matters any more: the fees are paid to the creator's own wallet.
  • The ID comes from the profile data TikTok publishes for embedding creators on other sites. If that cannot be read at deploy, the launch form says so, no ID is recorded, and the handle is matched by name alone: the first person to sign in with TikTok as that handle becomes its verified creator.
  • If it cannot be read when a creator signs in, a handle with an ID on file waits. It does not fall back to the name.

Check the spelling and the profile shown in the launch form before you deploy, and send creators their claim link.

What pons does

  • A fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, all on a bonding curve from the first block. No presale or team allocation.
  • A snipe tax on buys in the first seconds after launch, which decays to zero.
  • When the curve sells out, liquidity moves to a Uniswap v4 pool and is locked for good.
  • pons charges a launch fee and keeps a share of every trading fee. pons can also pause or restrict launching; Tipons cannot override that.
  • pons can propose moving a token's fee recipient, with a three-day delay. The token page shows a warning if that happens.

Risks

  • Tokens launched here are speculative and can go to zero. A creator's handle on a token does not mean they endorse it.
  • Until a creator's first claim, their fees are in Tipons's custody, as described above.
  • Tipons is independent and is not affiliated with TikTok, pons or Robinhood.
