What we collect

  • Public TikTok profiles of the handles deployers route fees to: the handle, display name and numeric user ID, as TikTok publishes them. They are stored whether or not the handle's owner has ever used Tipons. Profile pictures are shown from TikTok and not stored, unless a deployer chooses one as a token image, which puts a copy on IPFS and its link on-chain.
  • If you sign in with TikTok: your TikTok username, display name and the account identifier TikTok issues to this app. We link them to the handle you verify.
  • If you connect a wallet: its public address.
  • Payout records: the amounts, addresses and transactions of claims. These are also public on-chain.
  • Technical logs kept by our hosting providers, such as IP address and browser type.

We do not collect your name, email address or phone number, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

TikTok sign-in

Sign-in asks TikTok only for your basic profile. Tipons cannot post, comment, follow or message for you, and cannot read your videos, messages, followers or contacts. You can remove Tipons's access at any time from your TikTok app settings.

How we use it

To check that a handle exists, to show who a token pays, to prove a creator owns a handle before paying them, to pay out fees, and to prevent abuse.

Who else sees it

  • Privy runs sign-in and holds the wallets. It receives your TikTok profile or wallet address when you sign in.
  • TikTok sees that you signed in to Tipons, and receives the handles we look up. Tipons is not affiliated with TikTok.
  • Hosting, database, RPC and IPFS providers process requests on our behalf.
  • The public blockchain records deployments, trades and payouts permanently. We cannot edit or delete it.

We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Route and payout records are kept for as long as the route exists, because they are the ledger of who is owed what. Provider logs are kept for the periods those providers set.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to unlink your TikTok account from a handle, or ask for tokens that name your handle to be hidden from the board. We cannot remove what is already on-chain. Contact support@tipons.fun.
